Educational and Research Institute of Humanities

The Educational and Research Institute of Humanities provides training of cadets in accordance with the following subject areas: K1 ‘State Security’, K3 ‘National Security’, and B11 ‘Philology’.

In line with the needs of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Academy has developed a unique training program. Over four years, higher education students master more than 40 disciplines, including specialized, legal, military-tactical subjects, physical training, foreign languages, strategic communications, etc.

The Institute maintains constant cooperation with the operational units of the Security Service of Ukraine interested in qualified personnel. Practitioners are engaged in conducting classes with the students. Responding to the current needs of the SSU, the educational and professional programs for cadet training are continuously updated and agreed upon with operational units.

Future counterintelligence officers and translators improve their knowledge and skills during operational exercises and internships in the units of the Central Directorate and regional bodies of the SSU.

To ensure effective and comprehensive training of future SSU personnel, all necessary conditions have been created:

• specialized computer classrooms;
• forensic science and counterintelligence rooms;
• linguistic laboratories;
• an electronic firing simulator;
• an off-site training facility;
• sports and fitness halls;
• specialized and general libraries.

In the military environment, future officers master teamwork, build physical and moral resilience, make friends, and develop leadership qualities. The best cadets of the Academy receive scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the President of Ukraine.

The higher education obtained at the Academy is a reliable foundation for a successful career in the Security Service of Ukraine.
